Better to just do both at the same time for maximum weight loss. Start a low calorie diet, incorporating lots of protein(shakes and fish with low-zero mercury levels, such as wild salmon) into your diet while staying away from the fatty meats. Lift weights 3 times a week and do cardio 2 times a week for at least 15min a session. Once you lose more of the flab you can focus more on the weight training, but the most important weight control/loss method is still watching the calories.

No, it is not good to lose bodyfat and then gain muscle. You should do them concurrently. Impossible to predict how big you'll be. Eat healthy, clean foods; alternate cardio with weights. You'll gain muscle and lose fat. Good luck.

I would not suggest to both bulk and cut at the same time. Dosn't quite work.

I was in your place once. I personally droped to about 172, and then worked my way back up to about 185 in lean mass. It's a hard feat, but you should really seperate your bulk and cut, most bodybuilders would agree (espically at 200lbs and a high body fat percentage).
