I wish i knew. I blush alot to. Its real awful because when i get around any cute guys i tend to giggle like a school girl and blush real bad.

but from experiance the best thing to do is laugh about or make a joke about it.
Seriously.
Say if you are giving a talk... just stop and smile and laugh and say "i'm going red aren't i?" ... people will laugh but people will laugh anyway.. you might as well show you can see the funny side of it.. so they are laughing at you rather than with you..
I used to use my hand as a fan as well which didn't do anything Lol but it became like my signature thing
And if you are talking to a guy - just say the same thing and say "sorry i'm really shy lol"
If you have a sense of humour about it then people think it is cute :)
I don't go as red as much i used to anymore so i reckon it works... ( and i used to go like the DEEPEST red you can think of!!!!! Lol)
so i know that it is like super embaressing..
Just smile.. laugh.. and try not to care about what people think :)
For a physical thing... hold a (ice) cold drink to the side of your face - if it is hot then you can use that excuse.

blushing is caused by vasodilation due to emotion or heat.
rarely it is associated with certain diseases.
as it is an involuntary reflex type bodily function you can not control it, except to keep away from heat!
dont worry,its cute and probably more noticable to you than others so dont draw attention to it.good luck!
