The children are the future...
if all these children grow up on bad diets and keep getting fat... and they have kids and they do the same things..... by like year 2100 - there will be no skinnies left !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But then if this war with iraq and terrorism and global warming keeps going on - the will be no world for the skinnies and the fatties to exist
so yes to both your questions :)

I wouldnt rank this issue as more or less important than some of the others but
Disabled and dead kids will be a drain to the country.
Quite a few obese kids grow up (and out) to be obese adults who are plagued with health care problems.
(did you see the 150 pound 5 year old on 'extra'). SHe was on Maury once too....
this little girl could not walk well and she was rolling (literally) on the floor to get off and onto the couch. Her walk from the house to the car caused her to gasp for air! It was one of the saddest things I had seen in awhile.
Her mother should have been arrested for child abuse....but she was a fat trashy cow too!
My point however is that this child will NEVER be a functioning member of society.
imagine what a drain 5k of these kids would do to a state.
(She cant go to school because she cant fit into a desk, would probably stab the lunch people because of the regular 5 year old portions, uniforms are OUT as she would need a plus sized adult one at 8, she might need a tent @ 13, They would probably need a nurse on staff to deal with her other issues, might even need a reinforced motorized wheel chair since this kid could not walk from the house to the car without being winded.)
anywhoo, my point is that it is a huge (no pun) problem

Yes it is and it's a very sickening problem at that. How anyone could eat that much is beyond me. But you know, all that fat can act as a shock absorber when they run into the street, if they can, to eat the chicken trying to cross it.
Yes again. There are more pressing matters at hand.

I believe that obesity is a problem period for the young and old in America. We are a fast food nation, and it shows. I highly suggest watching the documentary "Supersize Me"... IT's a realistic and frightening examination of the subject!

it is many stuff. undesirable parenting is probable the main important. the mothers and dads are to blame for what their childrens consume, signing them up for activities, and so on...As their childrens get to be a sprint older (11, 12) they might initiate enjoying video or laptop video games way too lots. of course, united statesa. is interior the technological age, and it is difficulty-free to take a seat around and be amused by a show screen. Like I stated, parenting is a super concern, many mothers and dads are not knowledgeable or perhaps care adequate to be attentive to a thank you to advance a healthful infant. weight problems will consistently be an argument in united statesa. as long as our nutrition furnish is finished of fat, salt, and sugars. I recommend, think of roughly it. What do maximum individuals consume those days? Stuff that tastes solid, meaning its maximum probable undesirable for you. Pizza, french fries, chips, ice cream. The checklist is countless. then you might desire to function on all the sugar-crammed extreme calorie beverages we consume. the burden provides on speedy, surprisingly in case you do not workout. no person is familiar with a thank you to consume healthful anymore, and the quickly nutrition corps are making checklist salary simply by fact of it. Your question of, how we are able to be fat and robust athletes on the comparable time, isn't an precise fact/question. there is often going to be the healthful childrens who play activities and are powerful. united statesa. is a super united states of america for activities, and we are able to consistently have super athletes. there'll consistently be the share of youngsters that are solid at activities and are not fat! not anybody is fat(and a super athlete), it rather is an ignorant fact.

It is important because it means they will make poorer slaves in the future, suffer more health problems, etc. take up all the parking spaces in front of the shopping malls, and probably turn to cannabalism when food shortages occur because everyone is too fat and lazy to grow, hunt, fish or trap their own.

No, it is a huge problem (no pun intended).
Overwight kids will become overweight and sick adults. They will not live as long as their parents due to diabetes, heart problems and more. That may be their problem.
What becomes our problem is medical care will continue to skyrocket because of obese kids becoming sick as they get older. That becomes everyones burden.

Yes, it's a problem, but unfortunately the liberals are detracting from it, trying to say that the problem is "poverty," instead of obesity.
