I'm confirming some of the others answers that were given: when there is a sudden change in a dog's behavior, there is something seriously wrong with the dog, physically wise, like cancer. You definitely need to have your dog checked out by a vet. I recommend a full physical exam, along with blood work. Best wishes!

When dogs are in pain, they can act unpredictable like this. You need to take her to the vet and make sure she's OK. Loss of vision or hearing can initially cause a pet to be disoriented and have some behavioral changes at first. Other causes (especially for older pets) is Canine Cognitive Disfunction. Essentially, it's doggie Alzheimer's, and will cause a dog to act differently.
Hope your dog is feeling better soon...

If a dog has a sudden change in attitude and snaps at her people then it could be an indication of serious illness or injury. I'm going to reiterate what has been said before and reccomend you take her to the vet.

Jealousy is usually the number one thing for a dog to do that kind a behavior. Do you have a new friend or a baby that is living with you? Are you giving the friend/baby more attention to that dog? Those could be ways a dog would react in that manner. She could just be angry at you. Sometimes you will never figure out why.

If she isn't spayed, it could well be pre-estrus stress. (a bit like human PMS) If she IS spayed, she needs to see the vet, to determine if there is illness causing her changes. that is the most likely.

Call your vet and ask what he thinks you should do. it could be serious, or maybe nothing. Definitely call your vet though.
