Whu you had to pay $700.00, ,may be because you had a 1099 form, or you are a solepropetorship, if this it is, you have to pay, you can make deductions on both of these cases, but you can not lie to IRS, saying you have other business, I don't not understand and you can be audited for it. Becareful, If you have to pay, just pay,, you can make paymnets plan with IRS.

If you do not have another business and your tax preparer is telling you to make one up. Run away from that person as fast as you can.
If you did your taxes and you have all your income and you think you have all your legitmate expenses in you may be right that you owe the 700. I would suggest start saving and pay the bill on April 15. For next year have your employer withhold more from your paycheck.

If you signed a fraudulent return, you're in as much trouble as the clown that prepared the return. Actually you may be in MORE trouble; he'll just say that he prepared your return using the information that you provided. (No honor among thieves, yadda, yadda.)

Filing a phony business showing a loss to offset other income is the oldest fraud tactic in the book and it pretty much guarantees an audit.

I'd strongly suggest that you file an amended return quickly and pay the tax that you owe. Then I'd file a fraud complaint with the IRS on the butthead that prepared the return.

Did you really have another business? If not, yes you can get in trouble, and so can the "tax adjuster" who is pushing you to file a fraudulent return. And the tax company that told you to talk to him is less than honest too if they know that's what he's up to.

You can get in trouble if the IRS decides to do an audit and you have no proof. Depends on what he put down and if expenses were deducted from this income. You need to ask more questions to this tax adjuster.

No offense but what you really need to do is go back to school and learn to speak and write proper English. No one will be able to help you if you are unable to clearly communicate what the problem is in a way that people can understand.
