One of the Malinois puppies that I have had chewed through her plastic crate and then ate my couch, all in about 2 hours. When came home it looked like it snowed in my living room, and my couch was absolutely destroyed. She never did anything else like that, so I do not know what made her do it that day.

I own an Akita and I have found that 99% of the time he is fine.
We have however, come home to find cushions ripped apart.
He enjoys ripping envelopes apart but somehow he only goes for the ones that are already opened. It's like he knows?
He once was very ill and ripped up our lino in the study room. We could hardly tell him off as he was seriously ill.
He loves to get my shoes or trainers and keep them close to him but as of yet he has not chewed them. It's quite cute really.

We have a beagle (Nellie) that I rescued. She has terrible separation anxiety and she the only dog for which I have a crate.

I was going to Italy with my daughter, and I told my husband to make sure he puts Nellie in the crate when he goes to work.

My husband is a gentle soul and felt that it was too harsh to put the dog in the crate.

Well the beagle destroyed my 6 piece sectional sofa. My husband said all there was all over the house was foam rubber all over our house.

About 6 years later she destroyed our screen house while we were camping. I was gone 10 mins to the bathroom.

Yes we stil have her.. :)

The absolute worse thing was when I left the house one day, and left my Schipperke puppy safely (I thought) in a exercise pen in the kitchen. When I returned a few hours later, she had managed to get out of the pen, strew trash all over the house, puncture a few small packets of honey and drag them all over the house (including my couch and bed), and worst of all, she found my birth control pills, popped all of the pills out, and ate them (I'm not kidding!).

That dog was more trouble than a roomful of toddlers!

OMG, where do I start. Chewed up books, chewed up the couch, chewed on coffee table, chewed up Xbox headset, had a dog one time that chewed up my retainer when I was younger. I've pretty much seen it all.

The worst my dog did was when we left him for the weekend. My friends came over 3 times a day to see him and walk him and feed him. Little bugger pooped and pissed on our bed after the very first night. he was MAD at us

Chew up my book. =(

As a puppy though he doesn't know better. Luckily he's learning because he is smart (german shep.) -- and I know with time he'll get it right >_>

He also has chewed : Headphone wires, phone chargers, shoes, water bottles, cans, cups, purse, controller...etc..

Mine got hit by a car. That wasn't too good coming home to your beloved pet lying on the road.
