Why do Catholics claim to Come directly from Peter? Do you think Peter, Jesus and God was with them then? If not, why would they be with them now. They still do alot of "shameful things". Priests molesting little boys to start, adding to the bible etc...

I guess that would be hard to count.

Didn't they join Hitler to kill the Jews. They are still under investigation for that. You see pictures of the Pope and Hitler chilling together. What a sight. Church of God? Ya right

I don't blast Christians. I am a Christian. Not a follower of the Catholic Church. I am just reminding people who they really are. They would love for you to forget.

They are the beast in Revelations, I believe and many other Churches in History believed this From Baptist, to Methodist etc..They are quiet about it now. But, in Revelations. There is a warning about the Mark of the Beast. People must know who this beast is. The Pope, The Roman Catholic Church. Not saying the People. They are just blindly following the church.

the "beast" in revolations IS ROME. which later changes its name to the ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH. so, in theory, every roman catholic believes that they themselves are going to hell, because THEY ARE THE BEAST!

oh, yeah 666=NERO

Why would Catholics kill people for reading the Bible?
I read the Bible and so does everyone else that is Catholic. As far as the Pedophile in the Church less than 2% of Priests were accused.
The Catholic Church had nothing to do with the Holocaust Hitler denounced the Church before the Holocaust happened and the Pope saved a lot of Jews by hiding them in the Vatican
We are not the Beast, we believe in Jesus and God and whoever is the beast does not believe in God so get your facts straight
God Bless You

It sounds like you read Fox's Book of Martyrs. Yes. They killed many Protestants, and Jews, and any others that they saw come under suspicion. It was against the law to have a Bible, especially in a language other than Latin.

But with all the bloodshed and disgrace that history brings to the RCC, we cannot judge those that now a Roman Catholic. Not unless you want to point the finger at the Vatican. There are no Roman Catholics that I know that would ever put a Christian to death for being a Christian. Let them have their idolatry, it's all thiers and I will have no part in it, so God help me to be away from it.

All you will do is bring them to anger. And I do not think that it's our way. We preach the Gospel. That's what Jesus said to do. For those Roman Catholics that still practice idolatry, pray in repetition, and see their church as the only right one, I so hope that God forgives them for sake of His word. I also hope that He forgives me for whatever sin I commit- knowing that I myself am not perfect.

Peace always to you.

. It is clear beyond possibility of doubt that the Roman Catholic religion as now practiced is the outgrowth of centuries of error. Human inventions have been substituted for Bible truth and practice. Intolerance and arrogance have replaced the love and kindness and tolerance that were the distinguishing qualities of the first century Christians, so that now in Roman Catholic countries Protestants and others who are sincere believers in Christ but who do not acknowledge the authority of the pope are subject to all kinds of restrictions and in some cases even forbidden to practice their religion. The distinctive attitude of the present day Roman Church was fixed largely by the Council of Trent (1545-1563), with its more than 100 anathemas or curses pronounced against all who then or in the future would dare to differ with its decisions.

That's a new word you've coined "prececuted"! I think it's a pretty accurate combination of "persecuted" and "executed"!
Anyway, gentle kidding aside, many horrific things have been done by those with great zeal for their beliefs. As for how many, does that really matter in the big picture?
They take this as their authority to lead the church - from these verses, they call Peter the first Pope:

Matthew Chapter 16
13When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, "Who do people say the Son of Man is?"
14They replied, "Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets."
15"But what about you?" he asked. "Who do you say I am?"
16Simon Peter answered, "You are the Christ,[b] the Son of the living God."
17Jesus replied, "Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by man, but by my Father in heaven. 18And I tell you that you are Peter,[c] and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades[d] will not overcome it.[e] 19I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be[f] bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be[g] loosed in heaven."

Verses18-19 are those upon which they base the authority of Peter, as the first Pope, to lead the church and transfer all kinds of authority

My own personal view is that this is representative of the kind of "taking out of context" that really stretches the credibility of Christians.

Yes you are correct the R C C did commit atrocities hundreds of years ago caused mainly because of ignorance. Thank goodness we have all evolved and those practices are truly abolished. You fail to mention the Roman Catholic Church is now a wonderful organisation and a comfort to millions who practice their faith.
They provide a number of services to hundreds of thousands of people like primary, secondary and universities, hospitals, hospices, nursing homes, youth services world wide, to name a few.
Your statement would only be true if the RCC insisted on killing people now which is not the case.
As to child molestation I happen to know those who commit it are regarded as criminals and handed over to the police.

Well, if Catholics were to use the same justification as Islamics use, then they NEVER KILLED A SINGLE INNOCENT PERSON. All those killed were NOT INNOCENT.

If that explaination isn't good enough for you, then you'll have to feel the same way about Islamics, for that's the justification they use.

They almost killed my family (German protestants) and they escaped at literally the last minute to a ship headed to the US. That was about 1700. The whole inquisition thing was still going strong.
