It is hard to share your loved one on Valentine's but it is important to remember that she is his mother and has always been there for him. Perhaps he could take her to dinner the day before her birthday and you could give him a few moments to call her on Valentine's day itself. That way her birthday is still recognized and she could have some time with her son, but you can still have the majority of Valentine's day with him.

If your BF has a good relationship with his mother then you are being 'totally' selfish about
this. You sound like a controling person to me!
It's his mothers birthday 'for gods sake'! and
what would be the harm for him to run by and give her a gift or a card! How does 'he' feel about your decision? You need to let 'him'
decide how he can work all this out for the 'two'
ladies in his life. But sounds like you've already worked it out for him. And if you call him your
BF, you should be a little more considerate of his feelings...
He's 'NOT' married to you, he's just your boyfriend but you are already creating 'stress'
in the relationship.. If he goes to his moms on her birthday, then he should still go, and you guys can go out later that night..
You just seem soooo selfish to me..

Don't be so selfish, besides, you can tell how a boy will treat his GF by how he treats his Mom. How would you like it if his Mom didn't want to share him with you on Feb 14? If your old enough for a BF then it's time to grow up.

u can let ur bf go with the mum in the morning n u have him for the rest of the day
if u r really serious abt this bf,u have to 'invest' abit of effort in his mum cos it will help in future
maybe u dun see the need now but words from experience, being in gd relation with ur in law or future in law will make life easier for both of u in future
at times u have to act abit even if u really dun like her

common now sweetie...put your self in your bf's mom's shoes...everyone would appreciate you more if you could be more thoughtful and generous, especially on her birthday...you can always have your bf by yourself on your own special valentine day maybe before or after the 14th....
