How do you get rid of all those unwanted visitors, that try to sell you their religion at your doorstep, without giving them the finger, yelling insults or answering the door naked.?

I used to be one of those people.

No really...

So here is the sure fire easiest method.

Thanks but I'm disfellowshipped and currently I have no interest in coming back. I hope you all have a good day.

Thats it, just leave it at that. They will look a little shocked and just digress. Disfellowshipping is basically excommunication and its also the best excuse to get them off your door step, quickly, quietly and without issue.

Good luck.

Unfortunately, I've found that truly the easiest way to ensure that they don't call again is to answer the door either naked or half-naked. One of these groups knocked on our door early one morning and woke my husband and I. He was wearing his boxers, and after seeing that the group at the door was holding pamphlets, he answered the door. He has tattoos on each shoulder and one across his back. That was the briefest visit I've ever seen, he said they basically took the "hard-sell" religious tract, stuffed it under the bottom of the "save the environment" tract and handed it to him. He said they mumbled something about how he "looked like someone who would be interested in protecting the environment, so they had some information they would like to share with him." No mention of their religious views and they were gone. We've never had more visitors from their church (or any of the others in the area).

you could buy a no soliciting sign and put it out in the front of your yard..yeah they are tacky but if you get a steady stream of unwanted people trying to sell you things it may come in very handy..because it lets them know before they even get close to the door that you are not interested

Hi!
I used to be a full-time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, so I was one of those people who went door to door asking people if we could share religious messages with them. I assure you that missionaries from my church do not intend to annoy anyone, rather we want to give everyone the opportunity to listen if they choose. It's not necessary to be rude, please just tell them that you aren't interested and they will leave. People do say yes from time to time, and we consider it worthwhile to endure all the rejection from people saying no for approximately 10 hours a day sometimes if we can find one person who is interested.

I hope you'll leave the possibility open in your heart for if you ever are interested in the future. You can look up the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints online anytime. Thanks!

don't answer the door if you are naked. at least be kind to them, they are just doing their job, who wants to bother people under the blazing sun anyway. try being in their place, their job is hard aside from that you are answered by rude, heartless people, come on...

I just smile and say "Thank you very much, but we're already saved in this house." Then I close the door. And if they're gutsy enough to ring the bell again, I ignore it.

If you see them coming, don't answer the door. Doesn't matter if they know you're home or not.

Or you could say you're not interested, take me off your call list and close the door.

In one of our old houses, we put up a door-knocker that had a bible passage on it. They never came back to bother us.
