Without the cellulase producing bacteria found in the gut of herbivores(Cattle, sheep, goats,etc) there would be no herbivores. They would be unable to digest anything they ate. So another result ---there would be no carnivores. Probably no humans either.

bacteria control the waste in our septic system so it doesn't just build up there under the ground...
