I've never run there but Johnny Carson Park on Bob Hope Drive across the street from NBC Studios is nice.

Griffith park has a lot of trails.

Griffith Park. There are lots of challenging hills, and trails specifically for runners. Go early in the AM though. Too much smog and heat later in the day.
