I think it is not useless, you can choose some subjects in BA which helps for your creative writing. If you are good at language, I think BA is good, you can explore a lot in this course.

writing is something that most people are horrible at or they just never develop, so you can actually get hired for a random job based upon that. actual degrees are just proof that you can work hard & do what you are supposed to do. within reason, employers then know they can teach you the other skills.
obviously, you will not be able to get a job as a doctor.
a minor in business will help you more than you will ever realize! most of those people can't write to save their lives!
