it's just awsome shooting a bullet 2/3 of a mile and getting it in a 4" * 4" target! just wondering if anyone else is a fan of the .50 cal

Yeah with my single shot Barrett even at much further distance.

1000 yards? Yes. With a .50? No. I just use an 06. The .50 sounds like fun though.

next to getting to fly in a fighter jet shooting the Barrett is another life long dream. Maybe shooting a Barrett sooner than the flight but a guy has to have goals!

Carlos Hathcock USMC took out a enemy soldier at
2400 yrs with a .50 cal m2 machine gun.With its slow rate of fire.
One shot at a time.He mounted a scope on it.

1000 yards.......yeah i been there and do that!!!!! but i use my M14 chambered in 7.62x51 {.308WIN} it wont do as much damage as the .50cal for sure but i dont think i will ever need to disable an armored vehicle ha ha ha. plus i get 20 rounds of match grade ammo for about 21 bucks!!!!!!

i know i would, if i had access to a 1000 yard range & $8000.00 to drop on a Barrett, I want the Semi auto one.
