Well, since you're talking about God, why not refer to His Word & let's see what He has to say about this.....
Leviticus 19:33
"When an alien lives with you in your land, do not mistreat him. 34 The alien living with you must be treated as one of your native-born. Love him as yourself, for you were aliens in Egypt. I am the LORD your God."
Ezekiel 22:29
The people of the land practice extortion and commit robbery; they oppress the poor and needy and mistreat the alien, denying them justice.
Leviticus 19:10
Do not go over your vineyard a second time or pick up the grapes that have fallen. Leave them for the poor and the alien. I am the LORD your God.
Leviticus 24:22
"You are to have the same law for the alien and the native-born. I am the LORD your God."
Leviticus 23:22
" 'When you reap the harvest of your land, do not reap to the very edges of your field or gather the gleanings of your harvest. Leave them for the poor and the alien. I am the LORD your God.' "
Leviticus 25:35
" 'If one of your countrymen becomes poor and is unable to support himself among you, help him as you would an alien or a temporary resident, so he can continue to live among you.
Numbers 15:15
The community is to have the same rules for you and for the alien living among you; this is a lasting ordinance for the generations to come. You and the alien shall be the same before the LORD :
Deuteronomy 1:16
And I charged your judges at that time: Hear the disputes between your brothers and judge fairly, whether the case is between brother Israelites or between one of them and an alien.
Deuteronomy 10:17-19
17 For the LORD your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great God, mighty and awesome, who shows no partiality and accepts no bribes. 18 He defends the cause of the fatherless and the widow, and loves the alien, giving him food and clothing.
Deuteronomy 24:14
Do not take advantage of a hired man who is poor and needy, whether he is a brother Israelite or an alien living in one of your towns.
Deuteronomy 28:43
The alien who lives among you will rise above you higher and higher, but you will sink lower and lower.
Deuteronomy 29:10-12
10 All of you are standing today in the presence of the LORD your God—your leaders and chief men, your elders and officials, and all the other men of Israel, 11 together with your children and your wives, and the aliens living in your camps who chop your wood and carry your water. 12 You are standing here in order to enter into a covenant with the LORD your God, a covenant the LORD is making with you this day and sealing with an oath,
1 Chronicles 29:14-16
14 "But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand. 15 We are aliens and strangers in your sight, as were all our forefathers. Our days on earth are like a shadow, without hope. 16 O LORD our God, as for all this abundance that we have provided for building you a temple for your Holy Name, it comes from your hand, and all of it belongs to you.
Psalm 146:9
The LORD watches over the alien and sustains the fatherless and the widow, but he frustrates the ways of the wicked.
Isaiah 14:1
The LORD will have compassion on Jacob; once again he will choose Israel and will settle them in their own land. Aliens will join them and unite with the house of Jacob.
Isaiah 61:5
Aliens will shepherd your flocks; foreigners will work your fields and vineyards.
Jeremiah 7:5-7
5 If you really change your ways and your actions and deal with each other justly, 6 if you do not oppress the alien, the fatherless or the widow and do not shed innocent blood in this place, and if you do not follow other gods to your own harm, 7 then I will let you live in this place, in the land I gave your forefathers for ever and ever.
Yes, contrary to all those in this forum who like to call me a "bleeding-heart liberal" I am actually what used to be known as a Christian. That is someone who is CHRIST-like. If He was walking the earth today how do you think Jesus Christ would treat our aliens? Like you do? Or maybe like His book references above? If you call yourself a Christian is your attitude toward the aliens living in this land Biblical?
EDIT: This is sad. Someone dared thumbs down the Bible. Are we so self-righteous now that our opinions are above Gods? May He have mercy on us all.

I wish I was so sure of whomever it was that created me ...other than my mother and father.
God or no God, I know that when I get into a four seater car, there are going to be 3 other people able to sit in that car with me. I also know that any extra person beyond the 4 seats is going to have to sit in someone's lap. I know I would not be comfortable with someone in my lap.
If God is responsible for that and is responsible for illegal immigrants too, apparently God doesn't have much concern for the way I feel.
Since the way I feel has a lot to do with how comfortable and happy I am, I would have to guess God is either playing games with me or has some kind of twisted ideas about what is right and what is wrong.
In any case, it has dawned on my that God doesn't seem to have much to do with illegal immigration, the pain my mothers hemroids cause her or why all the flowers froze in the garden last week due to the cold.
I could never guess what God was thinking. I don't do well guessing what any of my close friends think either.
But my friends and others sometimes share they don't like having others sitting in their laps, when they have not invited them, when as they un invited sit in my lap and pick my pockets and then speak a foreign language to me (who knows what they are saying?) and then March in the streets, demanding that me and my friends treat them better.
I don't like the way any of it feels. Maybe those illegal folks should get together with God and have their own party. The unfairness, dishonesty and lack of respect they all share would probubly keep them all happy in their own time and place.
I don't know about God but I do know about the Illegal immigrants and they don't belong here in my lap or in my country.

On God and Santa Claus
From P.J. O'Rourke
I have only one firm belief about the American political system, and that is this: God is a Republican and Santa Claus is a Democrat.
God is an elderly or, at any rate, middle-aged mate, a stern fellow, patriarchal rather than paternal and a great believer in rules and regulations. He holds men strictly accountable for their actions. He has little apparent concern for the material well-being of the disadvantaged. He is politically connected, socially powerful and holds the mortgage on literally everything in the world. God is difficult. God is unsentimental. It is very hard to get into God's heavenly country club.
Santa Claus is another matter. He's cute. He's nonthreatening. He's always cheerful. And he loves animals. He may know who's been naughty and who's been nice, but he never does anything about it. He gives everyone everything they want without thought of a quid pro quo. He works hard for charities, and he's famously generous to the poor. Santa Claus is preferable to God in every way but one: There is no such thing as Santa Claus.

I don't think it is a racism that causes people to hate illegal immigrants. I believe that people are intollerant to them because they have not taken the initiative to follow the laws of the land and as a result have caused financial worries for honest working citizens and legal non-citizens. In fact God prescribed to us in the holy scripture that we should follow and obey the laws of the land in which we live. So there is your answer.
My husband came from a third world country. He gave the shirt off of his back and more and suffered a lot to come to this great country. When he arrived he had difficulty finding a decent job to earn a living. Perhaps due to his immigrant status, prejudisms, lack of work experience in this system etc. But he pushed on and boldly took the step to join the US military because it would at least provide our family with benefits and a place to live. He is a brave man indeed. And I admire his strength and all the strengths of those who come to the US legally with the ambition of freedom. I believe it is God's country and I believe that America is right to stand on its principles and to enforce its laws to protect its own people. My husband is one of those people.

Okay god created all of us, we are all God's children. So do you think he is upset because rapists are put in jail. Because Murders go behind bars. Because we pay fines when we speed!
Illegal means a crime has been committed! Yes people don't tolerate criminals why should they! If it was a racist issue they would be tearing apart the persons nationality but it's the crime that they are tearing apart!!
It's illegal to rape
it's illegal to kill
it's illegal to speed
it's illegal to work and live in America without the proper papers.
For all those acts there are punishment!

i think God rules with a firm hand. he loves everyone, he wants us to love them too. but he'll also find a way to put us in our place. so...i think that God does care about illegal immigrants, or course. but he also asks that we respect the laws of the land, and that applies to illegals as well. now that is their end, obey the laws. on our end of things...maybe our government needs to find a more workable way for people to enter the country legally. one that doesn't involve a 20 year wait.

The biblegod doesn't exist and the USA isn't heaven on Earth. If it (biblegod) existed, there wouldn't be a need for people to die trying to work in the USA, their countries of origin would be hospitable enough so that they could live peaceful and prosper.
Interjecting religion into this issue is rediculous, and only underscores the bible as a work of fiction. Doesn't make sense to respect, worship and fear an entity that does nothing but sit idly by, while it's faithful are starving, and dying in the desert.
What the biblegod does or does not approve is a non-issue, if it exists it doesn't care about human suffering, and if it does exist it needs to be ashamed of itself and punished for its apathy.

God knows the illegals were wrong. To be against illegal immigration is not racist. It is a matter of the law.

Don't you think God would have a bigger problem with people who are ILLEGALLY in a country, stealing jobs, increasing crime rates, and breaking laws?????????????
Think God would have a bigger problem with how Illegals are bringing down the quality of life in the US of A (or any nation for that matter!)
Please stop using the "race card" in complaining about those who are against illegal immigrants. There is nothing, repeat NOTHING, racist that Americans are doing when talking about the PROBLEMS that ILLEGALS bring into the US!! They are facts!!
