I gather you are talking about the discovery of Muhammad being a pedophile; along with the fact that we have so many terrorist. Taking that into account, there is not one single religion and or person that is going to be perfect in the eyes of any of us. We are all going to see things from different view points. We have different view points because of the way we see things and also from the knowledge we have.
To answer your question absolutely nothing as I know you really want to me say something like how could I have been so stupid, Islam kills people, the Quran speaks of killing all of the time; I don't see it like that all of the time. What I say and feel is more important to me than what you may think, see or feel.
