It should be ok as long as the water in the swimming pool is properly maintained. Public swimming pools usually have poorly maintained pool water because people don't first shower with soap before using the pool.

Most well maintained swimming pools contain dirt free water with high levels of chlorine. Chlorine actually disinfects the wound.

if you're swimming in salt water (on the coastline) that is dazzling on your piercing! yet no matter if that is chlorine water like a pool your inquiring for an infection. Wait a minimum of 6 weeks for it to heal. And yet another piece of advice, do not contact the piercing! I did that with mine and it were given SO contaminated. wish this helped :)

noooo definitly not....i got mine pierced like 4 or 5 months ago at a really good place and they told me that i couldnt go swimming for at least 3 months and if you do go itll definitly get infected.
