I have a paper due, over what I believe about Soteriology, or the study of salvation. The questions are drawn from a catechism. There are 24 total questions within this paper that I will answer. On executive decision, I chose to post each of these on Answers! but.... I am going to do them about once each day. They will be titled "Soteriology - Q # ______ . " I am going to poast them, one each day, because I am hoping to get as many different people to answer these questions as possible. If you would like to answer all 24, search them through my name, and answer as many as you would like to. PLEASE BACK YOUR ANSWERS UP WITH REFERENCES TO SCRIPTURE, THOELOGICAL QUOTES, ETC. I want you to be as creative as possible, and I want as many people to participate as possible. Thank you for your participation! I do not want you to do my research. I want more opinions than just people I can find on my own. In a sense, think of it more as an interview.

all mankind. However, for John to have said "world" and not just "mankind", I would speculate that the world in its entirety, with its unique aspects, all animals and insects, etc are included therein.

3:16. For God so loved the world, as to give his only begotten Son: that whosoever believeth in him may not perish, but may have life everlasting.
3:17. For God sent not his Son into the world, to judge the world: but that the world may be saved by him.

Salvation is offered to everyone. Even the thief on the cross was accepted by Jesus.
Death is inevitable. The thief on the cross knew when his would occur, but we can not predict our own. After his death, the crucified criminal went to live in paradise with Jesus. Some of us will also live eternally in God's presence. But others will experience everlasting torment, forever separated from Him.
If we receive Jesus as our Savior, our penalty for sin is paid. We are adopted into God's family, and Heaven is our eternal home. If we reject Jesus, we remain alienated from the Lord and under condemnation for our sin. We are destined to experience eternal judgment. God won't accept any of man's excuses because there is no acceptable defense for unbelief. (Acts 4:12)

Another Ted Haggard Christian looking to have his homework done for him. The economy of salvation cannot be answered in a series of questions ... it is an engaging and fluid discussion that takes into consideration Scripture, Tradition, Reason and Experience.

Ted Haggard, right wing bible thumping Christians see this as a black and white issue because they are too lazy to study the full breadth of the Christian Tradition and reduce theological reflections to a series of simple questions.
