a plain potato? wash it, peel it, cut it up boil the pieces, crain it, use a mixer then put butter or margarine in (for one potato about 1/3 of a stick) and a bit of milk (just a little bit, maybe 1/4 c, just enough to not make the potatoes so chunky) and mix it all together. you can add some garlic salt (again not too much) and some cheese if you really want a nice kick! you have garlic cheeesy mashed potatoes! yum! you can add sour cream as well. find a recipe on the itnernet and you can make potato pancakes! (skip the cheese and garlic, and sour cream)

Just about anything goes good with potato's. Me I like to wash them good leaving the skin on. Slice about 1/8 inch thick like chips. salt and pepper, place in a 9 by 12 inch Pyrex casserole dish. one can of cream of mushroom soup, one can of cream of chicken soup. bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour, cover top with cheese and bake 3 to 5 minutes. 5 medium potato's will feed 4 people. I use a scotch bright pad to wash the potatoe's.

Not sure what you mean. Just the potato? Like in baked potato? Lots of butter & sour cream & chives. As in salad--eggs & more sour cream & scallions & whatever you like! French fried is always good with catsup, but also with vinegar. Or even a horseradish cream. If you mean as an accompanyment, steak of course! (Spell check doesn't work, avatar doesn't work, don't bash me, please!)
