I don't feel the need to lash out and insult people when my beliefs are challenged, unlike many atheists. It seems like atheists have made it a hobby to belittle anyone who doesn't believe the same as they do. Which is fine with me. Nothing they say or do can shake the confidence I have that my God is real.

And sometimes I have the same reaction from athiest. probably a week ago, I was talking to an athiest, whom said she belived the BIble was fiction, and that God was imaginary, so I questioned her Logic, and all she could do was get mad at me and call me names. I was wittnessing to an athiest in a grociery store, and all the sudden out of knowhere he starded yelling and contradicting and blaspheming. he wasnt making any sense, it was as if he couldn respond logically. In other case I have spoke to athiest whom when there belifes were questioned the would simply ingnore me and try to avoid my questiones. So, why dont you tell me, why do athiest act like this when thier belifes are challenged?

Many do so because the challengers make their challenges without a knowledge of how God has revealed Himself to each of them. Their faith becomes integral to their persons and personalities.

Challenges to their faith are considered personal attacks by them, even though they may not have been meant in that way.
Nonetheless, the attacks undermine the most important and vital part of their lives.

Because that's what they see on TV. No joke. Have you watched the religious TV shows?
If you were to challenge my beliefs, I would very politely say, "You're a smart kid," smile, probably give you a hug and wish you a happy New Year. I'm just as Christian as anyone else. I don't think I've ever rebuked someone, or feared for someone's soul. I think that's a bunch of nonsense. Shame on people who judge like that.

Faith is a belief in absence of concrete proof. And faith is a very delicate, and frustratingly insensible quality.

You can have faith that your girlfriend is loyal, that your home is safe from hurricanes, and that your POS car is going to get you to work on time. And those simple faiths can truly improve the quality of your life, yes?

People act a little crazy whenever ANY faith is shaken. It makes sense that it would be more so with their immortal soul being questioned or negated.

Live well

You know what I wonder BA? I wonder how can a black man or woman openly claim to be an atheist when every single opportunity they have today was made available by someone who believed in God. Maybe that is why all these people are so surprised at you and start screaming. Of course, I'm assuming all this based solely on your user name. Can you discuss this with me, seriously?

I am Catholic Christian. I am also educated in religious studies and have a BA from a university. Saying that, most Christians who "preach", do not have any education regarding it and are just repeating what they heard. So when you confront their ideas, they switch to defense mode with no support but "Nu-uh!"

I don't doubt that there are people who act like that. But according to the Bible they aren't Christians, and irrational behavior doesn't discriminate. People of every group are capable of behavior uncharacteristic of them from time to time, and others are capable of irrational behavior that is characteristic of them as individuals and as a group.
