The dust mite, by itself, is not harmful to humans...BUT dust mites produce a very potent allergen called "guanine" which is harmful to EVERYONE'S health, to varying degrees. Guanine is found in dust mite fecal pellets and dust mite exoskeletons. Easily inhaled with each breath, guanine enters your lungs and remains in your lungs, suffocating and killing, your living lung cells.
These particles, aside from being microscopic, are extremely light-weight and the act of simply "fluffing" a pilow, or rolling over at night while sleeping (this occurs on average 50-60 times per night) cause the particles to become airborne and remain airborne for up to 2 hours while circulating throughout a home and settling on ALL furnishings. This negates the usefulness of dust mite-proof mattress covers and bedding which attempts to solve the problem by "covering up" the problem. Guess what...the airborne particles are still floating around your home and settling back on your bed, your carpet, your furniture, and everything else, until the allergens become disturbed (like walking across a carpeted room or sitting on the sofa) and then re-circulate throughout the home and settling back on your bed, your carpet, your furniture, once again.
REMOVING and/or REDUCING dust mite allergens (DMA's) is the only logical solution to the problem of dust mites. Unfortunately, there are very few businesses that "focus on" and perform this service, unless you live in Europe, Australia, or SE Asia.
Approximately 95% of all homes in the U.S. have dust mites and of those, over 50% are INFESTED!
An average 2 year-old mattress contains a colony of 2 million dust mites and each dust mite "poops" 20 to 30 times per day. Doing the math, that's an additional 40 to 60 million fecal pellets in your bed EACH DAY!
It is possible that a mattress can double it's weight in 10 years, although I know of no organization that has gone to the efforts to prove this. Pillows, on the other hand, have been known (proven) to increase in weight by as much as 20-25% in a few years.

Here's the bottom line.
Home Indoor Air Pollution has increased year after year since 1980. Coincidentally, so has respiratory illnesses such as asthma, perrenial rhinitis (year-long hay fever), sinusitis, bronchitis and skin disorders like eczema. Poor indoor air quality is occuring not only in homes, but also in our workplaces and schools, hence the U.S. EPA has begun a campaign this year (2007) to educate the American public on the looming dangers to our health. Visit their website (www.noattacks.org).
So...pretty much all you have heard is, unfortunately TRUE! The upside is, YOU have become educated in this matter, YOU know the proven concerns, and YOU can help the EPA by educating others.
As there are so few businesses performing Home Indoor Allergen Control (which begins with the worst place in a home...mattresses) visit the link below to learn what YOU CAN DO, to remove and reduce home indoor allergens in YOUR home.

Dust mites cannot be 100% removed or killed, but by utilizing regularly scheduled "hygienic mattress care" the health dangers can be controlled.

Yes, it's true, believe me, I have read so much about them because a couple of weeks ago, I was sneezing a lot, but didn't have a cold, and has just done some major cleaning in my room, and found LOTS of dust around, and inside my baseboards. THEN, after a few days, I kept breaking out: my arms, my sides, some on my stomach and legs, and I was soooo freaked out! I bought an allergy pillow case, with a zipper, and did the same for my mattress, bought a new sheet set, and a blanket, and wowwwwwwwwwwww, I stopped breaking out and within days, I was still okay. Dust mites are everywhere, they are even on the human body, and it is natural, it is just that some of us get allergic. Either get a new matress and pillow, or cover the stuff u have, and I would bet you will feel better about dust mites, and might even feel better overall, because u r not breathing in those mites anymore!

The 2nd is that the makers of this program didn't quit there, they took these moves into the laboratory and ran all type of clinical examinations to generate as much data as feasible before readying to work to assess this information and put together a clinical industrialized self-defense system that rather truthfully transforms the sector.
