mai does'nt means anything in spanish well probably not in Mexico Sonora but Costa rica is other history they say: "Pana" that means friend

In Costa Rica they call people "mae" that said quickly could sound like "mai". Mae for Costa Ricans is a way of saying "dude" or "man".

Something like this:

Estuvo buenisimo mae!

Something that you hear a lot in Costa Rica: Pura Vida MAE!

'Mai' is not a Spanish word.
I'm Italian and in our language "mai" means in English 'never'-
Probably that's what you were looking for.
In French 'Mai' is the month of May.
I've no other meaning to suggest in any of the languages I speak.

The word mai is slang for mom and pai is slang for dad in Puerto Rico, also it is originally from Portuguese.

i sure do know what it means. it means dances. but its not a spanish word its chinese. mai is also a chinese food well actually steamed chicken to be precise.
