I have been collecting hockey merchandice like cards and stuff lately and I have been starting to really get into it but now I'm starting to think that I'm wasting money because people keep saying like I should save my money but I have just enjoyed collecting cards seeing who I got that is good and just collecting hockey stuff has been fun for me. I know hockey isn't a big sport but to me it is. So what do you think. I'm 13 and I'm just really enjoying doing this.

It's good to have a hobby, and at 13, collecting hockey stuff sounds like it is fun and completely normal.
Nearly all hobbies cost money, you should see how much I've spent on books! It's good - it's training you to plan and budget for things that you want, it's good for your brain to have something healthy to focus on, and I bet you also get social interaction with other kids who are into the same thing.
So I would say - keep enjoying it, and who knows, your collection might be worth something one day.

There's nothing wrong with collecting hockey cards, if that's what you are interested in. Maybe you could try to save some money as well? :)

well, since a lot of ppl , and I mean A LOT, collect hockey stuff, you're not alone on this one......
but chances of it paying off aren't likely unless you're willing to wait until you've already retired...so you should save some money and only spend a small amount on these collectibles...having material posessions isn't as important as saving for an education or a car.....

your 13 and you collect hockey stuff....good for you...as long as you dont over extend yourself and become obsessed by it i dont see a problem what do your parents think?

Everyone needs a hobby that is just theres....
I say go for it....
If you change your mind later and switch to something else you can always sell the stuff or trade it for your new interest....
