Probably. I went to Parris Island and the oldest guy in our platoon was 29 (he kept getting recycled and had a birthday while on the Island). We rode him a lot for being an "old man". Okay, before I get a lot of thumbs-down votes for being insensitive, I'm just being honest, that's what happened.

yes, but older is not a bad thing. Older can be stronger, wiser, and more fit.
If you really want the Marines dont wait. There is such a thing as too old when you get into your 30's. Right now you are just starting your prime. And you can get ready for boot camp so that you can outshine the kids there. If you work on strength and endurance you are way ahead. Run, lift weights and get in shape. Make sure you have a balance diet high in vitamins and minerals.
Boot camp is not a calk-walk but you can do it.

possibly, i know a few guys that were in their late 20's when they came out of boot camp. You'll never know until you try.

Semper Fi and good luck man.

just to let you know, you will be bossed around by junior Marines in their late teens and early twenties when you hit the fleet, so be ready.

Well considering that the cut off age is like 38 now for most military branches, Army and Navy I know for sure...then most likely you wont be!! When I was in basic the cut off age was 32 and I had a guy who was 31 with his 32nd bday like two days after graduation so he barely made it but U know what?? He was one of our smartest most mature people we had there...he was second as honor grad for our entire graduating group of over 100...U might get rode a bit for the age but its always like that if your over 23!!!

Maybe. Maybe not. Your maturity will give you a real advantage over the other recruits... Good luck!

Yes you probably would be, but there are a lot men who enlist 25+. Trust me when I say things will be easier for you. Not because of your age but because of your maturity and your wisdom over most the 18 year olds. If you have any question you want to know, don't hesitate to ask me. I can help.

The marines isn't an honor society, its not a fitness competition and it definately ain't a beauty pageant! They'll take anyone who has 10 fingers, 2 eyes and a GED.

Unless there are special reasons, the cutoff is 27, for USMC. I went in when I was 24. Good Luck.
