If it were me, I'd talk to the doctor who prescribed the pill to me. It could be a side effect of the pill.

Actually the 'pins and needles' feeling isn't a problem with bloodflow. It is an ouput by the nerves that normally innervate your legs. If they are compressed due to any number of things you can get that feeling and if the pressure is worse it can feel like a sharp stabbing pain or a burning sensation. Typically this is called sciatica, named after the sciatic nerve which runs out of the pertineal cavity into the buttocks and then down the back of the leg (it is a HUGE nerve). There is a condition called pyriformis syndrome where the sciatic nerve runs through the pyriformis muscle. When that muscle tightens up it impacts the nerve and causes typically pain but in a mild case it could cause your symptoms. Your other issue may be something impacting the lumbar plexus, a complex of nerves that exit the low back and then travel into the pertineal cavity before innervating various parts of the leg. A good chiropractor should be able to figure this out for you pretty quickly, and get it releaved so you don't have this as much. You may also try changing the way you sit. Avoid crossing your legs at the knees also as that puts a lot of strain on the buttocks area where the sciatic nerve exits the superior gluteal foramen.

On an unrelated note, and this is just my personal opinion, I wouldn't be drinking alcohol for a number of reasons at your age: 1st off it is illeagal in the US. 2nd is alcohol is really bad for your liver, it stresses it. 3rd it impares your judgement and at 18 you probably don't have the best, I know I didn't. Wait until your 21 before drinking, at very the least just to keep yourself out of trouble.

Like she said, what are you doing drinking at ANY age, much less under age? That can get you in a lot of trouble, but most IMPORTANTLY it is very dangerous with the pill. SERIOUSLY.
But as for the tingling, first check with your Dr. to see if it is a common enough side effect of the pill to write it off as that. But, have you ever experienced back pain of any kind? If so, you need to tell your Dr. and have it checked out. You could have disk problems in your back that also lead to numbness/tingling in your hands/feet. And some people have disk problems and don't even know it until something else goes wrong and the Dr. finds it. No need to get paranoid, just keep it in the back of your mind if nothing comes up related to the pill!! Good luck, and PLEASE rethink your personal habits for your own safety and for the safety of those you love!

Hey why are you drinking at that age?
Are you sitting cross-legged when you get the pins and needles? Then it's normal. If not, it could be from the pill. You need to talk to your doctor.

1st stop = Chiropractor/muscle specialist.
2nd massage therapist who makes use of the book below (for you to help yourself).
3ed - Home use - get The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook by Davies.
That is the fastest way to get rid of them (don't let it take you the 5 years and undereducated Md's with physical therapists that it took me.
