Assuming you're not drunk when you met her. How often do you chicken out versus just change your mind?

well personally for me. i dont chicken out. if i get a number no matter how many ill call them and talk to them AND THEN if i dont like them i wont call them back. why pursue something thats not there with one girl if its there with another. Now half the time guys dont call girls because they get this feelin in their stomach and feel like there gonna puke. now if u can make it through that then ur fine. a quarter of them try and see how many numbers they can get and try to be True Playas whatever the hell that means and the other quarter are just too damn lazy to look for ur number and to pick up the phone and dial it

We have to keep asking girls for their numbers (even if we're not sure we're going to call them) because:
- we love the belief that a girl wants to have sex with us.
- this may be as far as we can really go because we already have a girl. It's nice to know we haven't lost the touch.
- we call a different girl's number first.
- 1/2 the reason we were talking to you in the first place was to advance our game. We need practice to stay sharp so that when the one we *really* like comes along we don't botch it up.
- when you're in 'meet girl mode' you don't discrimate -- you don't have enough brain capacity to be both charming and discriminating at the same time.
- we don't want to let you down by not asking.
- It will impress other guys and contribute to establishing ourselves as the alpha male. Not calling you may even help with this more.
-Some of us are just really, really busy (i used to work 80-90 hours/week).
This is the reality. I call girls atleast 1/2 the time.

Guys frequently want to know that you are willing to give your number. It's a "small conquest". Some guys even get competitive over how many they can get...
As for actually calling...Yikes! That's "risky"!!!
What if she doesn't remember you?
What if she laughs at you. What if SOME GUY answers?
What if it is the number for the Chinese Restaurant?
What do you say to when you call ???

Some guys just don't call. It this right or mature behavior? No. Does it happen all the time? Yes. I give women MY number! If she calls, se is interested!

It's all in the numbers... how many numbers can one person collect..and then they keep them in reserve until someone better comes along.. Don't let it get to you - if they ask for your number - tell them no thanks, I don't give out my number, but if you give me yours and I have a free day I may call you. Ta Ta

i've nevr chickened out, getting the number, thats the gut wrenching part...after that its just a matter of being a smooth cat.

it's equally annoying though when a guy calls you when you never gave him your number and he got it from someone else.

sometimes its just a game to see how many numbers you can get, sometimes they have a girl but want a girl on hold, sometimes they just...forget.
