Always, no matter how far it is or how bad the weather. I often take one or two carts I pass too, it's not even that hard to walk with two or three of 'm. Nowadays it doesn't happen much that people leave them out 'cause we have these locks with coins in 'm, you put 50 eurocent in there to unlock it and when you place it back you get your money back. But before they did that people left them everywhere... I was often putting them back just to be helpful, it only takes a few moments so why not?

Now I still stack the baskets while waiting in line, people can't even bother to do that! I mean, how hard is it to stack baskets normally, even toddlers have stacking toys, but adults leave their baskets sitting askew or drop them anywhere near the checking counter. I put my groceries on the counter first but if I have to wait a few moments yet while the person in front of me pays for his groceries, I tidy up the stack. Beats twiddling my thumbs or picking my nose ::grin::

I do because I once worked for a grocery store and had to go all over the parking lot to get carts so out of respect to people who now do the job that I used to do I always return my cart to a cart corral.

Yes, because by leaving them in the parking lot is not only inconsiderate, but can cause damage to other people's vehicles. Plus the wind can blow them out into traffic causing them to get hit by cars causing them to be ruined. This costs the store money to repair, (Wal-mart carts cost the store $200 each) in which the cost is then added to the merchandise that we buy. So why not be considerate and return the cart to the corral or the store and keep the cost of the merchandise down.

I continually attempt this...my acquaintances hate me for it, yet i do not care. If there is not any "cart corral" (aaaw that is a gorgeous call for them, we call them cart go back), I take the cart lower back as a lot as the front of the keep on the sidewalk for the keep team to retrieve it. The Publix's right here in South Florida don't have any cart go back as of yet (undesirable automobile parking zone layout plan), although those in Atlanta do, that is totally weird and wonderful!!!! i imagine because they're more moderen shops...sturdy question btw-

I try to return it, but if I am at a store with a shortage of corrals, and it is 'way off' to get to one, I might roll it up to the sidewalk and call it good. But the majority of the time I will corral it, because those guys at the store have enough crap to put up with and it is the least we can do.

I always do. I really hate seeing a packed parking lot with several spots taken up by carts only. Seriously people, it's not that difficult.

Yes, I always do. I like the extra exercise and the good feeling of not being a tool and leaving the cart to roll into someone's car. Do good deeds and you feel good inside.

I ALWAYS do, even in the rain. I find it extremely rude to just leave them anywhere. They can roll out and hit a car, or just block spaces for no real reason. It is one of my major pet peeves! (Plus, those poor kids get paid next to nothing to push those carts all day--and you're not even allowed to tip them!)

I will return my carriage to the "holding pen" only if I've been able to park close enough to it (as I have great difficulty in walking) and the handicapped parking is right next to the "holding pen"..

If my Husband is with me, it really doesn't matter where we park, because he will be the one to put the cart in the "holding pen", without me having to walk too far.

Have a lovely rest of the evening.
