You probably don't have to worry about much--cats are pretty smart and know how to recover. I've had 7 cats spayed/neutered and none of them had complications.

When I had my very first cat spayed, the doctor told me to take an old sock, cut the foot part off and put it on my cat. It covered the cats back and tummy. She still could get around because it didn't restrict her legs. I used a long sock, white and left it on until it was time for her sutures to be taken out. It worked out really well too. It not only protected her incision site but helped her loose her "baby belly" too! Ever since I did that to my first cat, I have done it to all of my other female cats when they were spayed.

You can use shredded newspaper for a week to ten days, that way you will be sure no litter will get into the incision. Also try to keep her as quiet as possible. Most animals will do this automatically because of the discomfort from the surgery. They have a plastic Elizabethan collar to keep her from chewing on the stitches.

It a very common surgery not only will your pet be stitched on the out side but your pet will be stitched from with in. Don't worry the litter will not get in the incision site. But if you are still scared go to your local pet store and pick up a bag of Yesterday's news its a special kind of litter made up of recycled newspaper. good luck

Get a incredible high quality clumping muddle and sparkling the container whenever you notice something in it. It quickly turns right into a habit. I comprehend you're no longer there for all time. the stable high quality muddle will help with that. however the superb treatment for removing scent is removing what's inflicting the scent. shop the container sparkling.

Don't worry she won't get anything in her wound my cat didn't, i use wood chips for kitty litter just be careful that she doesn't pull at her sutures, my cat did this and pulled half her sutures out and try to keep her wound dry it will heal up quicker
