Hi Sarah. I don't think so, if you were likely to develop it anyway then maybe you could trigger it. Not all OCD looks the same and very few are like Jack Nickolson in "As Good As IT Gets" (great movie). I knew I did strange rituals/ had strange thoughts and things but didn't realise I had it until recently while seeing a new psycologist about something else. When I thought about it I figured it had started at about 19 (34 now) but I spoke to my best friend (we were together constantly growing up, lived next door) and she said I had always been that way! She is a doctor. The "habits" can change from one thing to another. So what I'm saying is that it doesn't always hit you in the head like a migraine, maybe it was already there.

i do not recommend drugs for it (even even with the actuality that i'm no longer a professional, so do not take my be conscious as gospel). A remedy referred to as Cognitive Behavioral remedy has been common to reveal good outcomes with OCD. because you're youthful, you're waiting to unlearn your obsession with assistance from this technique (ask a psychologist) devoid of messing up your body and ideas with drugs. drugs might want to continuously be a very last hotel!

I don't think you can MAKE yourself, but something traumatic may happen that can cause it.
