well he will probably allow u to say as much as u want to say about it, if u arent offering much info he'll likely ask a few questions to encourage you to recall the experiences and how u felt at the time. then u will work on how it relates to your experiences today. i was not sexually abused but verbally and emotionally abused as a child and we discuss how it plays a role in my actions or inactions today best of luck

I would suggest that you take charge of your own healing.... and that is probably where you can start with the Counselor. You decide where it is that you want to go, and when. It's your life. If you want to experience true healing you will need to trust the person you are working with-- to feel innately that they have your best interests at heart and will lead you in a way that will result in a lifting of all your nasty feelings and give you a new lease on life. If you would like some additional help that you yourself can investigate, I would like to suggest e f t an easy to learn technique that you can use whether or not you go to a regular talk-therapist. Perhaps your therapist is even familiar with it.... go here http://www.emofree.com/AffiliateWiz/aw.aspx?B=1&A=529&Task=Click&TargetURL=http%3a%2f%2fwww.emofree.com%2fTrauma%2fsexual-abuse-thoughts.htm and then scroll to the bottom of the page to learn more.

I talk about spelling couseling as counselling.
Talk about why I'm going crazy and what's wrong with the world and God's plan for it. Who put him in charge anyway? We have so many greedy people who are so much more interesting in how they trash the world.
Why other people are freaks of nature.
Why criminals get rewarded.
When, how, and why hell will freeze over when there's so many volunteers and coal mines.
Talk about anything you need a second opinion on.
Tell the counsellor you are going to kill someone just to see how stress he can handle. When he asks for phone number for your shrink, drop him.
Tell him I'm annoyed that he keeps forgetting my appointments and leaves me waiting for half an hour after spending all day taking a bus there and being on time.
Why you have aliens for parents and why they were never given a psychology test before you were born.
Talk about how to win a lottery and what are the cheats for it?
Ask him why you can't wear a dress as a man unless you answer to Pope Johnny or what's his name.
Its your hundred bucks so talk about whatever you want. Might try to ask him for a ride back to Alpha Centauri and see if he gets worried.

Your doctor should work with you to set goals, and moderate your rambling so that you stay on relevant stuff so that you can isolate and fix the behavioral problem you went to him for, even if it's just a general depressed feeling. He's the doc, he should give you the rundown if you make it clear to him what you expect to get out of it. He's working for you, so keep in mind that he will help you out if you're lost as to where to go..
