Police reports are public record but keep in mind that certain information may not be releasable depending on which state you are in and what their laws are with regard to obtaining such records. The narratives may be available, for example but not the personal information of the parties involved. Cases that still have an open investigation will most likely not be releasable, for example murder, rape, etc. In some instances, you will have to go elsewhere for the report. (Such as the District Attorney's office if you are the suspect and charges have already been filed or the court clerks office if the case has already been adjudicated)
If they are releasable, you will most likely have to request the records in writing, in some cases citing your state's Public Records Act law. You should contact your local police department for their records release policy.

Yes, they are public records. Contact the records div. of the police dept., pay the fee for the report(s), and you're done.

you have to go to the court house and probably give them like 15 dollars a page or what ever your county charges. I think you can get them though. start there at the court house
