How do I get someone to ask me out?

Ok. In my 5th period I am a Teachers Assistant. This teacher has another TA, this really cute guy. I want him to ask me out, so how do I do that. I know a little about him, he's always telling jokes, is cute, but still sensitive (SOOO NOT A WUSS). I'm waaaaay to shy to ask him out so how can I get him to ask me out? HELP
