There are some aspects of being a kid that I miss. Sure I would love to have a "redo", assuming I could go back with the knowledge I have now. It would be nice to avoid the mistakes I made as a kid. Of course everybody probably liked the lack of any serious responsibilty when they were a kid. At the same time I don't miss getting into trouble and getting punished for it-except for those times I did things I wasn't supposed to do and didn't get caught. Not getting caught is nice.
I enjoy the perks of adulthood and wouldn't give them up for anything.

i do miss being a kid very much..and i hope to never lose that "sense of kid" that keeps me going. however i could see how people who had a difficult childhood would not miss being a kid..and that's sad to see. being a kid should always mean no worries and endless days of no responsibility and happiness and all the good things kids should experience. i had a wonderful childhood with two wonderful parents (even through a divorce) they managed to both be civil and teach me everything i needed to know before i was thrown into the real world. Being a kid as so many advantages, and it's so hard to explain to children that complain "i wish i was older," that well that really isn't the best thing to wish for. Speaking from experience i know that i would take back every time i ever said i wish i was older. Being older stinks. lol

I don't miss being a kid! What I do miss is the safety of the neighbourhoods from when I was a kid.
Do you remember being out all day throughout the summer gone to call on your friends? Just hanging around playing with every kid in the neighbourhood. having to be home before the lights came on. back when your parents knew everyone and felt good to know that someone is always watching to keep your children out of trouble and keep them safe. It didnt seriously concern too many parents if you were invited in for a snack or drink.
You could spend the day at the park at the very end of your street out of your parents eye sight, and everyone was fine and happy at the end of the day.
I miss those times! these days you're not sure if you'll make it to the corner store sometimes. I have to explain over and over to my son why he can't play in our front yard. how he has to stay in our backyard if he's playing out there.
Any one could take him! As nice as some people seem they cant be trusted!

Sometimes I miss the part about not having to worry about the sometimes overwhelming responsibilities of running a household.
On the other hand... being an adult can be so much more fun in so many other ways.
Sometimes I just wish I could go back and make things right where I screwed up. I would be nicer to people, take advantage of learning opportunities and develop my talents more - not waste so much time in front of the TV. But hey, sometimes I still feel young at heart. Having children and playing with them has a tendency to bring you back.

I miss being a kid at an age when I felt safe. Life was good, secure and there were people who cared about me all the time, even if they made rules I didn't like.
Believe me, you don't get that when you become an adult. You work very very hard to get that back!

Yes I do miss being a kid! My dad was still alive at the time. I guess the fun times we had together are what I miss the most.

The carefree life. Having no worries. Playing with friends out in the backyard. I look at my own kids and think that no one realizes how precious childhood really is. Once it is gone then there is absolutely now way to get that time back. I really miss the carefree and worry free life.

I miss it mostly for the innocence of being unaware of the world around me.
Everyone is still alive and young.
No responsibility.
Snowy days are days to play not to shovel.
The rain isn't cold but rather a time to find puddles to splash in.
