Well, first off, I'm sorry for your loss.
Now, I'm all for tattoos, especially those with such a deep meaning, but praying hands is a little overdone (plus it's also associated with mexican gangs. Yikes!). How about getting something original. Think of something you associate with them, something they loved or a favorite activity both of you shared.
For example, the only time I ever saw my dad when I was growing up was in the summer when he could take me to work with him. On the last day I would see him we'd walk down to Pier 39 (a boardwalk type place in San Francisco) and we'd ride the carosel and then he'd buy me one of those huge multicolored swirled lollipops (the big round ones, you know). Even though it's kind of bittersweet, it's a really fond memory of mine. So I just recently got a tattoo of a lollipop and carosel horse (it looks *amazing*). This tattoo means so much more to me than it would have if I had gotten a heart with "Dad" written across it, you know?

You just turned fifteen. You are a child. You should not be considering even the thought of a tattoo. In just a few short years, you will be a completely different person. You don't have the wisdom of someone older than you, so you should not pretend to think you will know what you will like when you are older. And if you knew anything about tattoos, pale blue is not exactly the best color choice. All colors fade, but pale colors will fade even faster. Tattoo artists advise against this. Plus your spine ends right above your rear end, and that is obviously past your lower back. Think about it.

Generally I'm not a fan of getting tattoos before you are an adult, because at 16 it is possible that you might still grow or your bodyform may still be changing.. and in a few years the tattoo with stretch out.. Ick. And also because most people at that age tend to make stupid decisions when it comes to tattoos.
However, I think your idea is a really good one.. something that you can cherish forever rather than regret 10 years down the road. So I guess I'd say go for it if you really want to! :] But, as I said.. your body form may still be changing or there is still a chance of a growth spurt so keep that in mind, as your tattoo may morph into something not so beautiful in a few years

I say do what you think is right and make sure your parents are ok with it. If not wait a couple more years until your 18.
Plus, you can put it somewhere no one can really see except you. My brother did the same thing for my brother that died. I am not a tattoo person but I respect what he is doing and why.

I am a tattoo artist personally I am in process of getting my liscense and I can personally tell you that the best reason to get a tattoo is when you want something that is meaningful rather than getting a tattoo to spite someone or simply be rebellious.
All tattoos are for life and should mean something very important to you . That dosent mean everyone else in the world has to agree or understand as long as you do.
I dont personally feel age should be an issue when it comes to tattoos I mean dont get me wrong I dont think a 10 year old needs a tattoo but I am reffering to many people thinking you should be 18 to 21 to get a tattoo. I think that once you are mature enough generally speaking around 15 to 16 you should be able to after talking it over with your parents of course and a tattoo artist make the choice for yourself afterall it is your body and NO one elses ......
Good Luck !!

thats a good idea.. but you may need to wait 3 more years till you are 18. dont get your hopes up. cause most places (in the U.S. that is) wont touch you even if your parents are there with you. so you may need to wait till you are 18 the laws have been gettign pretty strict! and if you do find a place.. they are breaking the law in a way. so they also could be breaking safety and health code. so you may have new ink and a disease like hepatitis due to unsanitary conditions... jst do alot of research abdout ehre you want it done and who you wnat your tattoo artist to be before making any major decisions..

Tattoos are a major addition to your body. Its definitely a worthy cause to remind yourself of these people everyday by paying tribute to them in the form of permanent body art! On the other hand, the tattoo will shrivel up eventually with wrinkles, lit will lose its vibrant color, and attract more attention than you might be used to. Maybe you could find another way of paying tribute until you're positively sure you want this. Also, there's some risk in getting one, so be sure to go somewhere with a safe reputation if you choose to get one.

i think its a very nice idea why but im not sure i approve of what.
Everybody and their brother has praying hands or a cross! what about something that represents them to you personally and is unique. what about their portraits? Something that symbolises their lives to you, a "family" tree for example. explore other options with a good artist before just grabbing the first piece of memorial flash you see.

That's fine, just as long as its not something you'll regret in 10 or 20 years. don't make it too big either, or some place that ruins the look for some of your outfits.

i wont preach to you because its a great idea, most kids ur age want a gun or some stupid ish on em..but do something original with tha tattoo..like thier names with something underneath that they always told you..or if you have a different ethnic backround (or not) get something like "love you always" or "miss you" in a different language..praying hands is played out..im sure you'll think of something..good luck
