Why Do Girls HATE SHORTER GUYS and/or GUYS with GREEN/BLUE EYES?

Question

I was a psychology/sociology major at Stanford before I dropped out - I never fully understood why girls completely ignore shorter guys such as myself (5'5"-5'6"). I can understand the need for a girl to have a guy who can protect them, but there a plethora of short men out there who could easily take down towering guys. Ex. - Jet Li, Bruce Lee.

In addition to this, I'm a guy who has greenish-blueish eyes and very light brown straight hair and a long "Nordic" face (I'm Central-Northern European). Are these features unattractive to American girls? I keep hearing that girls want a guy with dark features. Is this true? Would a girl rather go out with a guy with black hair and dark brown eyes?

I want to approach this a little differently: Instead of saying what girls do like, what features/character traits in a guy do girls absolutely loath? Ex. - I guess the thought of green eyes and light brown hair girls here in America find pernicious.

well, I think that is true with many woman that they are too into superficial things but really men are even more superficial than woman putting looks as number one.

You need to consider that it takes a lot of time to find a women worth having..one that is not into supercial things like looks as the personality is what counts with me. I have went out with a lot of people all heights, weights, occupations, physical features..none of it mattered..what mattered to me was were they nice, did they treat me well,did they had the personality traits I wanted and liked and admired, and did they have a good character. One can learn to like a person's looks if they have the rest or overlook their looks.

It's likely you are fine, but society is messed up..plus you say you are not bad looking..if all someone cares about is height, do you really want them..aren't they a little shallow. Just look for shorter girls,.,.there are plenty of them out there...and maybe lower what is acceptable-- let in less attractive or overweight girls and I am sure you will soon find someone who appreciates the real you..maybe you are guilty of being too superficial yourself..only wanting the top of the line looks...there are many great women overlooked due to weight or appearance that if you aren't superficial, you could win over and be happy with.


Good looks does not necessarikly equals good person for men or women so chose only those wise enough to know this.

Also put your energies into things other than fiding a girlfriend..focus on other things and when you least expect it, it will happen...it does for most of us..I have seen many overweight, disabled, or unattractive peoplee including short ones happy and married and you will be too if you ease up a little and stop making this the most important thing in the world. Do something of service lie be a big brother or volunteer to help do something to make others happy.

Hmm. You've given quite a range there! xD there's 12 inches in a foot! :) so you mean 5'10" to 6? or you do mean 5'8''-6''? Well I'm 6 foot. If my girlfriend was the exact same height as me that would be interesting I guess but I've always found myself attracted to girls who are shorter than me I mean as the guy you want to be taller than the girl really If the girl is taller than you then it's a bit strange you know? I just like the idea of being the taller one lol :) I think this is the case in general for most guys! So if the guy is shorter than 5'8 I think he'd definitely go for the shorter girl Although obviously there's many more factors than height! xD they've got to have personality! :) Short over tall for me but anything in the range 5'2 to 5'11 I wouldn't be scared of going to talk to :P xD

most girls are looking for their own special thing. As far as height goes, I think most just want a man taller than them. so, if they are 5 ft they want someone at least 5 ft 1.

Now color of eyes depends hugely on the girl. Some girls love the green blue an other love the dark brown.

On average though I would say most love a dark tan.

At the end of the day, I would say what ever the girl falls in love with is what they end up loving. I can tell you if you have asked my wife what she preferred before we married she probably would not have described me, but now she loves all things about me. I am not sure exactly why but she does :)

The sad truth of the matter is you seem like a real nice guy, and that is what women don't like about you. Now now, I can already here a bunch of women crying about that last statement, but it is true. How many times have you heard a girl say something like "he's a really sweet guy, but I don't like him like that."? Think about your friends; who's the nicest guy you know? I'll bet twenty dollars he gets his heart ripped out on a fairly regular occurence. Women like men that treat them like ****, I don't care what they say. If you think I'm lying, go to a bar and just be a prick to every woman there, I promise you you'll get laid that night. It doesn't make sense, and that's how I know it's the right answer. Women are illogical beings and half the time they dont even understand why they are doing what they are doing. Now I'm NOT saying ALL women, there's exceptions to every rule, but as a general rule of thumb that's a good thing to keep in mind in all your dealings with the fairer sex.

Have you really looked at couples out there. Short guys with tall girls. Gorgeous guys with ugly girlfriends. Girls are all different, it is chemistry that counts. Maybe you are just meeting the wrong girls right now. What do girls loathe? How about a guy who does not brush his teeth, or has body odor, foot odor, does not have good table manners and slurps or burps at dinner. I do not care how gorgeous the guy is....A Nordic guy would be great, but he better smell nice and not knock out birds from the sky with his foot odor

I have no aversion to shorter men, nor to men with blue or green eyes nor to men with light brown straight hair. I find all very attractive features - in fact the Northern European features are very attractive.

I don't care what someone looks like. I know, everyone says this right? yep. But alot of times it's true. There was a time looks were important to me. People didn't think my boyfriend was good looking, well some did, but alot did not. i thought he was gorgeous.But only on the outside.That's what matters the most, what they are inside. by the way you forgot to mention my favorite shorter guy. jackie chan. gorgeous gorgeous beautiful. inside and out

I'm married to a man who is 5'6. And he can hold his own. I think being short and stalky is extremely sexy. And those eyes of his...they are that grey color that change when he wears different color shirts. I don't think there is an exact answer to your question. Some like short men, others like tall. Find a gal who likes you for you- there are plenty out there. If your confident and sure of yourself that is what's really attractive.

i never really had a preference of dark hair, skin etc. it was the chemistry and the personal connection. if i had a lot in common with a guy. take you blinders off. i think you are judging american women by a few bad experiences that you have had. i hope that you are doing better.
