good, good, you have the smiling at eachother for the first time already down.
walk over to the table she's at, give her a little note.
just something like, "what are you studying?" or "would you like to go see a cool movie with me sometime?" (then she knows you already like her.)
hand it to her before you sit down at a nearby table, so she can see you when you she's read the note, and you don't have to stand there awkwardly feeling like an idiot. (you know what I mean)
and you can look & see how she reacts. smile at her. see if she smiles back.
if you are really shy, this is a good way to break the ice. (she just may be shy, too.)
if you see her smile or nod or wave or smile a little, blush and tuck her chin down, or runs a hand through her hair, chances are good that she might like you too.
then go start with, "hi, I'm Andy'(or whatever)'what's your name?" and tell her you and some of your friends are going to (whatever) on the weekend, and it would be so nice if you-and a few of your friends could come and join us. movies and sporting events like basketball games and such are great for that, they don't require that you do a lot of talking, just gets you together for a few hours in a public setting, other friends should help ease things up for both of you, and you should both feel pretty safe, even if ya are nervous.
It's a start.
Good luck : )

Go to the next step of saying hi along with your smile. Do that for a couple days so you can catch her eye. Then move in for more conversation, like, "What class are you studying for?" , "Who instructs that class?" Just some easy conversation starters for a shy guy. "Want to eat somewhere else", would be one for after a conversation or two, so you know if she is interested or trying to avoid you.

Ok im a girl and the one thing I don’t like is when a guy likes me and thinks im cute and whatever and then doesn’t talk to me and all he does is stars in the distance... u have to be a man and go and talk to her I mean don’t go and declare that you like her just go up and say “hey my name is ………….” And the conversation will start I don’t think she is going to snob you off…. You never know she might like you back…. **** luck with it :o)

Have a friend deliver her some nice flowers, chocolate, and a card from you with a picture in it on the 12th or 13th. Ask for a date for Valentine's Day and make sure you remember to leave your contact info.

You really need to just go talk to her. If you see her sitting there studying, go sit beside her, open a book and then start a conversation. Something simple like, "hi... my name is John... what are you studying?" will do. Anything. It won't be hard once you start. :)

Maybe go up to her and ask her what she is studing, ask her her name, how long she has been in college, and of course she may ask you some questions of you, ask her age, if she might want to get a bite to eat in the cafeteria.
Good luck

Say something about the book she is studying or reading to get a conversation started.
If she's sitting by herself just go up and say I noticed you're by yourself, mind if I sit here?
Just say something that will get a conversation started.

So find out who her friends are and approach her from there... or just start small conversation when you see her alone... the best way is to sit next to her in the cafe so you can start talking to her

When you get your lunch ask her if you can set with her. This way you can get to talk with her and go from there. Of course if I was you I would stick with my studies. By your writing it looks like you could use the extra studying. You know they have spell check on here.
