hi .. i and my friends are planning a weekend trip for a weekend right after valentines day. could anyone give me a site name or any place we can go. places which are 2-3hrs away.

Why come to NYC for a weekend and then spend most of your time travelling outside the city. That seems silly.

Depends what you want to do. Ski? Hunter Mountain in the Catskills. Gamble? Atlantic City or Mohegan Sun Casino in Eastern Conn. Tour ships? Mystic Seaport and the Submarine Force Museum & USS Nautilus near New London. Like Colonial history? Philadelphia, Valley Forge, Brandywine, in Penna. Like trains, want to see a coal mine? Scranton, Pa. Want to visit Amish country? Go to Lancaster, Pa. area. Looking forward to the baseball season? Go to Cooperstown, NY
