Martin will not run in enough races in any of the 3 series to win a cup. Every time he sits out a race he gets 0 points while the 43rd place finisher gets 34. He would need to run every race to contend for a championship.

No he won't - he is only driving in certain races this year so there is no way possible for him to win. If he does decide to race the whole season, I still don't think he will win only because he has such bad luck and he doesnt' have the nerve anymore. He plays everything too safe. I would love for him to win, but I don't think it will ever happen.

If he drove a full time Busch or Truck schedule he might. I think he should retire rather than become another driver that can't compete anymore like Bill Elliot, Kyle Petty, or Sterling Marlin

He can't. Last year was his first full season. He's driving the 01 car part time. The only way he could win is if all the other drivers quit.

Last year was his last official full year so it is not likely he will ever win a cup

although mark matin has semi retired the chances of him winning that award is slim to none. He has won many others though.
