This question has been asked before - and dairy seems to be the answer - but I'm still not covinced. There are some kind of similiarities in then broken down nutrients that make up the two, and so eggs are often clumped into the group of dairy, but does that officially make them a dairy product? I think the only reason they're considered dairy is that they're usually found in the dairy section. They are protein, not a milk-product (which is what constitutes a dairy item).

Do eggs contain milk or come from a cow? If so then yes. If not then NO. No they are not. How can you have lactotarians and lactoovotarians. Lactotarians are vegitarians that also eat eggs. Loctoovotarians eat eggs and milk. SO, no eggs are not diary and NEVER will be.
