So many teens (and younger) are roaming around without adults around. It seems parents think that having a cell phone replaces having and adult around. I wonder if this is a good idea.

Some parents are lazy and selfish. They wanted a child for the novelty, or got knocked up. They may be a parent, but are not parenting their children. It could possibly be this, isn't it sad?

Teens roaming around without adult supervision, is not a new thing, has been happening for years. Now they have cell phones, which is a good thing. Used to be, we could make the excuse, "but I wasn't near a phone", or "I didn't have any change to call". No, excuses now.

I do not think that it is very good. My dad bought a family plan and gave me and my sister cell phones to check on us. I worry that my sister is taking advantage of it and lying to my dad. I wish he would get more involved with us sometimes.
