Try to find something that he likes or that the two of you have in common and ride that until either he thinks of something to smooth out a convo or you do. Let him know you are interested but dont be too forward. smile at him alot and if he has half a brain hell pick up on it if hes interested and make a move

ask him about him, ya know, his fav movie, class, color, stuff like that. ask him wat hes doin this weekend or w/e
