Is it possible to find out who somebody's probation officer is?

My ex-boyfriend was recently put on probation in San Bernardino county, California. He has harassed me in the past and I have heard from friends that he has been talking about vandalizing my cars.
Should I contact his probation officer and make him aware of the situation? And if so, how can I find out who his probation officer is?

I would call the probation and parole office and tell them you want to know who the probation officer is for your ex. They will gladly give you the officers name and phone number. Talk to the PO directly yourself.
Coming from a larger agency I would suspect that your info will go into a misc offense report and no one will see it unless something criminal occurs.
If you call the PO and alert them to your concerns they will address it with your ex and make him aware of the consequences if he doesn't just leave you alone.

You could call the specific probation office and just relay the info. I work in the field and belive me, they will make sure that the PO get the info.
I don't know how big your county is - so that may complicate things. The cops probably wont be able to help you out much as no crime has been committed but they may be able to help you with the PO.
