Sometimes it's really difficult to tell, especially if the kitten is really young, and/or has dark-colored fur. One way you might be able to tell is this: when you look at the cat's behind, a female's looks like an upside down exclamation point, and a male's looks like a colon. ! or : . I couldn't tell the sex of my kitten till he was 5 months old. One day he was bathing himself & I saw this pink thingie sticking out of him, he was a boy for sure.

it has 2 be 3 months old and I wasn't able 2 tell if my cat was a boy or girl until 3 months old......... maybe take him/her 2 a pet store they might be able to tell you the same thing........ that's how i found out mi cat was a boy

Don't feel dumb, it's hard to tell until they're older. Your vet will be able to, or it'll become very apparent.

it has to be like 3 months old for you to tell unleess...you take the kitty to the vet!

if it's got nubs, it's a boy

if it don't have no nubs and it's got a little slit there, it's a girl.
