I personally feel, that your love for your spouse, and your love for your children are totally different kinds of love. We love our sisters and brothers. We love our best friends. But it all to me, is a different type of love.
I agree there is no bond quite like Mother and child, that goes without saying.
But the bond you have with your spouse, is also like no other, just is a different kind.
It is not that you love more than the other.

i can agree that it is two different kinds of love. my kids are my world and my life. they are my blood. they love unconditionally. the love i have for my spouse is obviously different. you should love your husband because you both made a committment and of course, it takes two people to make children. however, your spouse can cheat, lie, steal, hurt or abandon you...so where is the love now????? children NEED their parents...spouses can pick up and leave or even treat you bad.

I love my kids in a totally different way than I love my husband. But my husband and I have come to an understanding that our daughter is above both of us. I think it's just an understanding amongst couples.

Yes, I do. I adore my husband - he's everything I could ever want. But no one in the world is more important than your kids. And I think most good parents would understand that.
