eBay would be one source to buy ankle weight or you can also try your local Sport Authority store for ankle weights.

Seriously, please listen to everyone else on here and DO NOT RUN IN ANKLE WEIGHTS!!! They throw off your center of gravity, and your leg muscles compensate for the difference the weights make. You will end up injured. If you want to get into shape for track, skip the ankle weights. Run regularly, and then hit the weight room. Strengthen the muscles in your knees and hips -- the athletic trainer in your school can give you exercises to help with that, as they are the more common injuries that happen to high schoolers.

Also, do core work -- abs, push-ups, etc. That will help more that ankle weights ever will. Good luck!

Don't run with ankle weights!! You'll get injured. That's not how you want to go about getting in shape for track. Just run. Obviously you need to gear your training toward what event(s) you will be doing (sprint, middle distance, long distance, field events). Talk to your coach if you can for workout tips. I'm sure he/she will be glad to help.

I will never tell you where to buy those useless for running things. ankle weights are not a good idea for running the help you are going to get is screwing up your stride pattern especially if you are sprinting or hurdling and cause shin splints, sore ankles, sore knees and stress fractures in your foot

tip: dont wear ankle weights.

You can use weights for leg lifts and the like but for running I'd say no weigh.
