My concept, formed by my own experiences and my take on the bible is a very loving, personal and forgiving God. Unfortunately many Christians have portrayed the image of being very intolerant of anything different than the norm and this causes people to think that is how we view our God. My God is far superior to me. He has no prejudices, no racism- he knows each and every person. The bible mentions in the Psalms that he formed us. He knows us better than we know ourselves. C.S.Lewis mentions that we are a part of God- we can never find our true identity until we turn to him and trust him with our life. There we find ourselves complete and our true selves emerge. One last thing, the bible mentions we are made in the image of God...I had a person one time ask if all humans were put together- all of their faces, identities and personalities- would that be God? Not that he is not his own separate being but would that be what he looks like? All of us united?? Just a thought:)

Life itself appears as an analogy, that is: in everything there is a story to be told, a story your soul yearns to hear. It is all around you, and you are so used to seeing it that you no longer see it, or take it for granted, or the meaning of it has escaped you.
I met God once, in a vision, so I cannot claim it was actually the way He looked, but the feeling was immeasurable, and what I saw was a tower of sparkling light. It was difficult not to see Him and my eyes would not stray from Him. From that tower of light came all things. Power, fortitude, mercy, searing intelligence, and power. (Did I mention Power?) Anyway, that is my concept of God now.
Before that vision, I had another, which involved Jesus and the Passover, and that, too, was interesting, with many revelations that made me feel curious and quiet at the same time, like who is in charge of time? How does time work? Is everything happening at once, except for death? How does death work? What is this strange nourishment we receive without price?
It made me also come to realize a part of Jesus I only had an inkling of before: His sense of humour. He has this quiet sense of humour. A kind of constant joy around him, like we give him some sort of happiness.

God has always been here. He is the Creator and Designer. Jesus came to earth to free us from religions and teach us to have a life changing relationship with God. He is my Lord and Savior.

God is the Creator of the universe, the giver and taker of all life. He is to be worshipped above all that exists on earth. He is the author and finisher of our faith and by him all things consist. Without God, we would not be here.

I couldn't possibly begin to explain this with words. I either lack the knowledge of them or there just aren't words to describe God. I only know what He feels like.

He is our Heavenly Father and Creator. He is love, and holds justice, power and wisdom. He loves us all very very much as to sacrifice His son. He is long suffering and forgiving. And a million other things. He is the Hearer of Prayer. :]
And His name is Jehovah.
That's my concept of him! Thanks :]
