It definitely depends on the religion, there is a form of paganism that believes that all religions are correct and therefore you can basically take your pick of what is the most fun or appealing afterlife. In this perspective then all would be true. However most religions claim to have a handle on what is the truth. There are many people that dabble in religions but to become a true convert of a religion there are surprisingly few that permit the existence of another truth being equally true to the one it claims. I personally am a Christian- this offers one thing no other religion has offered; a personal and loving being but Christianity is seen as very exclusive as in the bible it mentions "you cannot serve two masters" you must choose...in my religion at least.

Not if you want to worship in public with the followers of a religion, because the god of every religion says it is the one and only god, and that all other gods do not exist. However, if you believe your religion is your own affair and, therefore, you won't reveal it to anyone, you can have as many religions as you choose. Actually, this might be the most enlightened path to take because you can choose to believe only the best parts of all religions. I don't know how the gods of all those religions will take that. Good luck.

first of all, 'steph' needs to respect other peoples' rights to freedom of religion. you can have any beliefs you choose. now, i think that you can follow the ideas of more than one religion, but you can't 'be' more than one. you either are or you aren't a certain religion. if you, say, believe in all the rules of a religion except these few over here then you arent' that religion...you follow some of the ideas of that religion. you are only a true 'insert religion here' if you follow each and every rule.

Many religions have the same basic moral laws, but most of them demand that you believe in only one God. You can learn from other religions, even if you are not officially part of them.

If you are serious, no.

But if you are one of these common law marriage hippie types, then you probably could even go to three or four religions at once.

It depends on which religions. Christianity, Judiasm, and Islam all teach that their way is the only way. Stuff like Wicca and Peganism is open to other beliefs - whatever works for you.

Most modern religions have an exclusivity. This was not true historically, especially in polytheistic systems.
