why does the new world translation in john 3:16 say Exercises faith, when king james bible says beliveith in him
beliveith means: accept as true, accept as truthful....
exercises means: Physical movement, practice of skill or procedure, piece of work.....
does this mean that the witnesses are taught to mostly do jehovahs work more then to accept jevhovah as true in order to make it to ever lasting life?

I am not a JW. However, I like your question, especially the part of how you accurately defined "believeth".

You said, "Accept as true"

I like that because it emphasizes that we should appreciate (love) Jesus for his life, his teachings, his death, and appreciate God for Jesus' resurrection.

My Point: Most Churches just dwell on Jesus' Death. (Which I certainly appreciate) but they don't seem to appreciate the truthfulness and wisdom of Jesus' teachings, and his living his life for us as an example.

Well, I am a self-read Christian, so I may be biased in favor of Jesus' teachings. like us forgiving others is just as important to Jesus as the fact that Jesus and God forgives us.

A person who reads only the King James Version of John 3:16 might assume that a person need only "believe" in God and Christ to attain salvation; that idea is often expressed as "once saved always saved". Is it a Scriptural teaching?

(James 2:19,26) You believe there is one God, do you? You are doing quite well. And yet the demons believe and shudder. ...Faith without works is dead.

The Scriptures quite plainly explain that humans can disqualify themselves from receiving everlasting life; it is only the faithful COMPLETION of a life course that assures salvation.

(Zephaniah 2:3) Seek Jehovah, all you meek ones of the earth, who have practiced His own judicial decision. Seek righteousness, seek meekness. PROBABLY you may be concealed in the day of Jehovah's anger. [emphasis added]

(Amos 5:15) Hate what is bad, and love what is good, and give justice a place in the gate. It MAY be that Jehovah the God of armies will show favor [emphasis added]

(Matthew 7:13-14) Go in through the narrow gate; because broad and spacious is the road leading off into destruction, and many are the ones going in through it; 14 whereas narrow is the gate and cramped the road leading off into life, and few are the ones finding it.

(Matthew 24:13) But he that has endured TO THE END is the one that will be saved. [emphasis added]

(Philippians 2:12) Keep WORKING OUT your own salvation with fear and trembling [emphasis added]

(Hebrews 10:26-27) For if we practice sin willfully after having received the accurate knowledge of the truth, there is no longer any sacrifice for sins left, 27 but there is a certain fearful expectation of judgment

(Hebrews 5:9) [Jesus] became responsible for everlasting salvation to all those OBEYING him [emphasis added]

(James 2:14,17) Of what benefit is it, my brothers, if a certain one says he has faith but he does not have works? That faith cannot save him, can it? ...17 Thus, too, faith, if it does not have works, is dead in itself.

No, exercising faith is also believing or accepting as truth, and we accept Jehovah as the true God, and therefore we are exercising faith in him also, but I think you are applying exercising as physical movement like what you do to keep fit,we exercise our faith to keep our faith fit the body exercise is keeping the body fit exercising the mind keeps our mind fit, you may have heard doctors encourage people to exercise their minds keep them active to help ward off Alzheimer's, do you think that that means to literally take out the brain and make it move and strengthen it's muscles? No it means that we need to exercise the brain by using it to keep it working well, We need to accept Jehovah as true as much as we need to exercise faith in him it is actually the same thing, exercising faith is to keep confirming it so it grows, and does not shrink by not using it, after all we are living in a faithless world and it can rub off on us but by exercising our faith we can actually keep it strong.

what's your element? you're actually not even asking a question, you attempt to lie to human beings into questioning that Jesus is God while he isn't. of course Jesus grew to become into suitable, and Thomas knew that he grew to become into God's Son. Thomas could be attentive to it simply by fact Jesus taught that. Jesus in no way claimed to be God. he's "godlike" nevertheless and Theos could be translated as "godlike". by the way, the Watchtower teaches wisely, Theos is the Greek be conscious meaning: “divine,” “godlike,” or “a god.” It relies upon how that's used, does it have a distinctive or indefinite article before it. while Theos is preceded by a distinctive article it ability "The God", as in Almighty God that's Jehovah. whether that's preceded by an indefinite article then it ability "a god" or a "godlike" one. you are able to twist the scriptures all you decide on, only like the Pharisees while Jesus grew to become into on earth, yet you will in no way holiday up Jehovah's people who definitely use sparkling reality, not twisted guy's techniques. Your Yahoo id identifies you as an apostate. So considering which you have been as quickly as linked with Jehovah's Witnesses you would be attentive to by now from sparkling scriptural learn that Jesus grew to become into of course God's Son. how are you able to flow lower back to the vomit? you're fooling your self. (2 Peter 2:20-22) ***LOL "Olin Moyle". you're each week too previous due.
