First of all, you can be here legally and still not be a citizen. While I'm an American, my parents aren't---though they are long time Legal Permanent Residents (Canada & Sweden).

They have most the same constitutional rights as long as they are here to free speech, religion, etc., etc., and States have extended the right to public education to most illegal immigrants. Many states, mine included give "Driving Privilege Cards" to illegal residents. Being a Doctor is a bit more complicated, because a school wouldn't admit you without a Student Visa--nor do they have work authorization, but you could probably become legal if you had the resources to become a doctor. Private companies---including Credit Card companies can choose whether or not they want to provide services to illegals, just as they are permitted to provide services to tourists.

Illegal Immigrants do not have any rights against deportation, although this is not often enforced, because immigrants have provided a valuable source of cheap labor which has fueled much of the U.S. economy for many years.

I know that you can attend public school, work, and rent property without being a legal citizen.

As far as I know, you cannot go to college or receive government assistance money (welfare, section 8 housing, etc.)

So yes they can definitely attend high school, no they can most likely not become a doctor, but they can get an id and a credit card if they have a fake social.

You ignorant SOB first learn how to spell, then learn that if you want to deport all the illegals your mother will have to pay $20 dollars for a head of lettuce, $10 dollars per tomato, or something like that, If you go to a restaurant then also expect to pay a lot more for dinner, because most likely the cooks are illegals cooking cheap vegetables grown by illegals, who by the way do pay taxes. When you go to the supermarket or any other store they don't ask you if your legal or not to go through the check out counter so everybody pays sales taxes. Also most employers are required to provide a social security for every employee, what I'm trying to say is that illegals do pay income tax and most of the time are not able to file for a refund.

But to answer the question, it is to the state to decide if they are allowed to attend public school, as long as they have the grades and can afford college they can become what ever they please, that doesn't mean they can work legally. They must have a social security number to have a credit card, it is also up to the state to provide an ID. There are also many citizens of other countries who are legal. I hope all that answers your question.

Illegals are allowed to go to high school. That is a big part of the problem because our schools are overcrowded and failing as a result. Become a Dr? Well, they can't legally work, now can they, since they aren't supposed to be here? The credit card is between them and their bank.

If you are under 18, you are considered a child and have basically the rights of a US citizen. Over 18, you're an adult and have no rights because you are technically committing a crime by not having legal permission to be here. That's tragic, but its the truth. I would hope people in general would remember that anyone, legal or not, has human rights and privilages and should be treated with the same respect given to any US citizen. But you should hear the answers I heard in my classroom regarding this question. There is no respect for humanity unless you are a "citizen" and if not, you are no better than dirt. This is how people actually feel!It makes me sick to know that I share this country with people who believe like this. Hopefully, this answers your question.

If you mean illegal alien, they seem to be given everything the common citizen has to work hard for. It wouldn't sup rise me at all if they were allowed all that stuff for free. As for legal non resident aliens they are given the same opportunity's as other citizens, but a lot of paperwork
