My girlfriend and I are getting married next year. She just bought a new car but has a speeding ticket, and accident, and questionable credit that is driving her insurance up more than the car payment. I've gotten quotes online and insurance would be considerably cheaper under my name. We both drive the car equally. Would this be possible?

You will need to have your name on the title/registration to get the coverage in your name. Insurance coverage travels with the automobile, not the driver. If there is a lender on the automobile than you would have to pay it off, transfer title etc....when you get married you will pay higher coverage still because of her prior driving mishaps.

Nope....you both have to be listed on the insurance policy. Maybe she'll think twice about speeding and getting into accidents.

For you, you might consider a NAMED DRIVER ONLY policy. Any car you drive is insured, but only if you're the driver.

autos are bought via identify. in case you have one which you have not have been given a identify for, you're surprisingly plenty out of success, and particularly if it had a salvage identify at first, you have a areas vehicle. you could bypass lower back to the guy you purchased it from and ask them to touch the unique proprietor to get the identify. different than that, there are difficulty-free the thank you to get bonded titles, yet they are the two complicated and expensive. In maximum states you could not take a vehicle to the junk backyard with out having the identify for it too, so possibly you will success out and the chum will locate it for you.
