I am a christian in my early 20's, and I am in love with a christian girl. How long should I wait to propose marriage. She wants to be married and have a family, but I don't want to propose to soon. I wouldn't mind waiting but my job requires me to move away in 8 months. I want her to come with me but she wouldn't come unless we were married.

Seek Godly advice from someone you trust, and make sure it's a man who knows you well, like your dad or your pastor or youth pastor. I'm sure you've already prayed about this, but pray a while longer after you talk to someone. You don't say how long you've been dating this girl, but if it's been about a year or a little less, if you propose now and get married in six months, I think the timing is about right. A good general rule to follow is don't marry someone you haven't known for at least a year. God bless.

There really isn't a waiting period before proposal...some say at least a year of dating is good through. If you love her (and she is old enough as well) then you can propose when the time is right. Just be sure that you love her enough to work through anything life throws your way.

explain to her how you feel about her, and if the reaction is good, then take her somewhere special the next night, possibly even that one, and ask her to marry you. if not....then you better wait a little. it also depends how long you have been datig. if over 7 or 8 months, go ahead i geuss, but if sooner you might want 2 wait a little and make sure you really feel this way for her before you go ahead to soon, and end up ruining your relationship. hope everything works out!

Dude if you feel like you are being led by God to do it, then listen. IF you have His blessings then that is all you need. It is great to see another christian on here. Marriage is so great, hard work, but great. Keep God in it and you'll have so many blessings, that the hard times are bearable. Good Luck!!!!
